Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the Aligned app and website ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Aligned is operated by NeuroSpire Labs, Inc. ("NSL", "we", "our", "us").

Aligned is not therapy. The content, assessments, and recommendations in Aligned are for self-directed personal growth only. They are not a substitute for professional diagnosis, therapy, medical care, or psychiatric treatment.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, contact a licensed professional or dial 988 (US) or your local emergency number.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Notify us immediately at admin@romancier.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

Aligned offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription at $4.95/month (prices in USD; international pricing may vary by store).

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.
• Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can cancel, manage, or view subscriptions in your device's subscription settings — not inside the Aligned app.
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or deceptive purpose
• Upload content that infringes another person's rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Share your account credentials or resell access
• Impersonate another person
• Interfere with the Service or overload our systems

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

You retain ownership of content you create in Aligned (journal entries, reflections, uploaded photos).

You grant NSL a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely to operate the Service for you.

We never use your content to train third-party AI models, sell to advertisers, or display to other users.

The Aligned app, the NORM Rhythm™ engine, the NRSI assessment, Skills Labs, and all related content are owned by NSL and protected by copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use them for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You may terminate your account at any time via the account-deletion flow.

We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service. We'll provide reasonable notice where possible.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NSL'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

NSL IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Alabama.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
